- canned cherry pie filling – Use one or two cans. I used one, but if you really like to go heavy on the fruit, then you can easily use two cans
- Butter for greasing
- Quick Oats – I say quick oats because I usually use them. This particular time, I only had steel-cut oats. Any oats will do for this recipe.
- All-Purpose Flour
- Brown Sugar
- Baking Powder
- Salt – Table salt
- Unsalted Butter – Melted
Equipment Needed
Large Skillet – I like to use a large iron skillet
How to Make Cherry Crisp
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Farhenheit
Rub butter onto the skillet to grease it.
Spread the pie filling
Mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and melted butter in a medium bowl.
Spoon or sprinkle the oat mixture over the pie filling
Bake for 15-20 minutes

- 1 tbsp. butter unsalted – cold or room temperature
- ½ cup quick oats
- ½ cup flour all-purpose
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 5 tbsp. butter unsalted – melted
