  1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, egg, and Worcestershire sauce
  2. Shape the beef mixture into 4 beef patties
  3. Cook in a large skillet over medium heat to medium-high heat for 5 minutes on each side
  4. If necessary, drain grease
  5. Add the broth and vegetables
  6. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to a simmer for about 10 minutes
  7. Then, add the cornstarch and water mixture to the juices, and continue to cook until the sauce has thickened

Ingredients

1 lb. of ground beef
1/3 cup of plain bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. of salt
1/2 tsp. of ground pepper
1/2 tsp. of garlic powder
1/2 tsp. of onion powder
1/2 tsp. of mustard powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 large onion sliced
1 (6 oz.) can of sliced mushrooms – drained
2 cups of beef broth
2 Tbsp. of cold water
2 tsp. of cornstarch


Instructions

  1. Mix beef, bread crumbs, spices, egg, and Worcestershire sauce
  2. shape into 4 patties
  3. In a large skillet, cook patties on medium heat – about 5 minutes on each side
  4. Drain – if necessary
  5. Add onion, mushrooms, and broth to the meat
  6. Heat to boiling
  7. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and simmer for 1o minutes
  8. Add water mixed with cornstarch and cook until the gravy thickens
