- 8 Tbsp.  butter  unsalted 
- 1 cup flour  all-purpose
- 1&3/4  cup  sugar  divided (granulated) 
- 2  tsp.  baking powder 
- ¼  tsp. salt
- ½  cup  milk 2% or whole 
- 3  cups  fruit  mixed berries - frozen 
- 1  tsp.  cornstarch 
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees 
- Melt the butter completely 
- Pour it into the baking dish 
- Mix the flour, 1 cup of the sugar, salt, and baking powder  
- Pour milk into the dry ingredients and mix well 
- Pour batter over butter - making sure that it is spread across the whole pan. You do not have to cover every square inch, but most of it  
- In a large saucepan, heat frozen berries, 3/4 cups of sugar, and cornstarch until the melted liquid thickens a little bit into a syrup-like mixture 
- Pour fruit mixture over the batter covering most of the batter  
- Bake for 45 minutes
