  • place 1/3 cup of stuffing into the turkey slice and roll it up
  • place it seam side down or secure it with a wooden toothpick that you have soaked in water (for about 10 minutes)
  • continue to stuff all of your turkey slices and roll each one up
  • bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes

  • make a roux by melting the butter in a skillet
  • add the flour to the butter and mix well
  • add water and whisk until smooth
  • add the bouillon and seasoning
  • continue to whisk until it is the thickness and texture that you want
  • if needed: strain any lumps out of gravy that might not have thinned out with whisking
  • pour half of the gravy over the baked turkey roll-ups and save the rest for serving

Notes

What are some good sides to this dinner?

  • green bean casserole
  • mashed potatoes
  • cranberry sauce

Can I Make Turkey and Stuffing Roll-Ups in advance?

Yes! You can easily make this dinner a day before. Store covered in the refrigerator.
  • make the stuffing and stuff the turkey slices. Roll them up and place seam side down or stick a toothpick in to secure them. Cover and refrigerate. Bake as directed
Reheating leftovers: Cover with foil and reheat in the oven set to 325 degrees for about 15 minutes or until heated through

Can I Freeze Turkey Roll-Ups with Stuffing?

Yes. You can freeze this meal for up to 3 months. Do not thaw in the refrigerator. Bake frozen, but add some time for thawing (about 10 minutes) to the baking time

Can I Add the Gravy Before Baking the Roll-Ups?

Yes! If you want to add the gravy before baking, then cover the dish with foil so the gravy does not dry out. If preferred - You can pull the foil off of the dish for the last 5 minutes to get some crisp edges on the turkey and stuffing

What Kind of Gravy Can I Use for Turkey Roll-Ups?

It's never been easier to make gravy without drippings. Today, you can buy turkey gravy mixes in a packet, turkey gravy in a can, or turkey gravy in jars.
You can also easily make your own chicken-flavored gravy with a roux of butter and flour, water, chicken bouillon, and other seasonings

Tips and Tricks:

  • after you roll the turkey over the stuffing, you can place them seam side down or secure them with a toothpick
  • if you are using toothpicks to fasten your turkey roll-ups together, then soak the toothpicks for about 10 minutes in water before
  • you can use homemade stuffing or used boxed stuffing as I did
  • this recipe would make a great addition to an open-faced turkey sandwich - all you need to add is the bread and mashed potatoes
  • ask the deli to slice your oven-roasted turkey with numbers 4 or 5
