Homemade Berry Sauce {Make with any Berries!}

- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- ¼ tsp. of salt
- ½ cup of water
- 2 cups of berries
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice optional
Mix the first 3 ingredients together in a medium saucepan
Add the water, and berries
Stir the mixture
Set the heat on high to a rolling boil, and then turn it down to simmer
Simmer for about 5 minutes
Let it cool a little, and transfer the sauce into a jar
Serving:
delicious when served over pancakes, ice cream, or mixed into yogurt
Storage:
Store with a lid on in the refrigerator for up to 1 week
Reheat:
Reheat without the lid on in the microwave or return to the saucepan and heat through
