Flatbread Pizza Recipe with Asparagus and Caramelized Onions

Ingredients
  

  • 2 small or 1 large Flatbread crusts Use Naan Bread as a substitute
  • 1 Tblsp. of Olive Oil
  • dash of salt
  • ½ cup of chopped red onion
  • 1 bundle of fresh asparagus tips - bend asparagus until they break. Throw bottoms away
  • ¼ tsp. ground pepper
  • ¼ tsp. of ground mustard
  • 4 cloves of garlic - minced or 2 tsp. of garlic powder
  • ½ cup of mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup of mayonnaise

Instructions
 

  • Pour the olive oil into a skillet, set over med/high heat
  • Add the onion and continue to cook turning over occasionally until the onion has turned translucent and browned
  • To that, add the asparagus tips and cook, turning until browned and softened
  • Lightly salt the vegetables
  • When those are cooked, turn the heat off and set them aside
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the ground pepper, mustard, garlic, cheeses, and mayonnaise
  • Stir together, and spread over the crust
  • Add the cooked vegetables
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned
  • Cut into wedges and enjoy
