Homemade Berry Sauce {Make with any Berries!}

Description

Delicious and Simple Berry Jam


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 2 cups of berries
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix the first 3 ingredients together in a medium saucepan
  • Add the water, and berries
  • Stir the mixture
  • Set the heat on high to a rolling boil, and then turn it down to simmer
  • Simmer for about 5 minutes
  • Let it cool a little, and transfer the sauce into a jar

Notes

Serving:

delicious when served over pancakes, ice cream, or mixed into yogurt

Storage:

Store with a lid on in the refrigerator for up to 1 week

Reheat:

Reheat without the lid on in the microwave or return to the saucepan and heat through
