Notes
What if I don’t have Low-Sodium Soy Sauce?
low sodium soy sauce has less salt which is why it is used in this recipe. If you use regular soy sauce without adjusting the recipe, the beef will be very salty.
However, if you only have regular soy sauce you can use it. Just add more water (about 1 cup) to the recipe to dilute the salt
Make-Ahead and Storage:
This French dip only gets better as a leftover. You could easily make this the day or 2 days before you need it.
How Long will Cooked Roast Beef last in the refrigerator?
- cooked roast beef will last, covered in the fridge for 3-4 days
Can I Freeze the Roast Beef and Juices?
Yes. You certainly can. Simply place the cooled-off beef along with the juices in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 2 months.
Reheating:
You can thaw roast beef in the refrigerator overnight and then warm it up over medium heat in a skillet on the stovetop. Make sure the lid is on so the juices do not evaporate.
You could also place the frozen beef and juices in a saucepan, and with the lid on cook on low until warmed through
